Pulkit Vohra
Pulkit is the current Data Protection Officer (DPO) of BT in India, responsible and accountable for ensuring the regulatory implementation of privacy program and culture for BT’s India operations. With many years of experience in privacy risk and compliance, Pulkit has worked with clients across sectors in using tech/tools to implement a robust privacy compliance network to bridge the regulatory gap and embed a privacy culture.
Husna Sidiqi
Husna Siddiqi, CIPP/E, is an information protection professional with over fifteen years’ experience in information security, data protection, IT risk and program management. Husna was a software engineer and a lecturer of undergraduate computer science before becoming a consultant. She currently leads Cloud Assurance in a global professional services firm. She is also an Independent Advisory Board member for the UKRI Centre for Accountable, Responsible and Transparent Artificial Intelligence (ART-AI), University of Bath. Throughout her career, whether teaching automata or writing a cryptography thesis that won her a forensics prize, Husna has tried to articulate highly technical topics into simple speak often leveraging theatre arts and story-telling skills. Husna aims to increase security and privacy awareness among diverse audiences using relatable day to day examples. Husna’s input in this conference represents her personal views and not that of her employer.
Evelyn de Souza
Evelyn de Souza leads privacy operations for the Oracle Cloud Applications LOB. She is focused on building in privacy versus bolting on privacy after the fact and harmonizing regulations to alleviate audit fatigue. She has previously served as the Co-Chair of the Cloud Security Alliance Cloud Controls Matrix and the chair of the Data Governance Group. Evelyn was named to CloudNOW's Top 10 Women in Cloud Computing for 2014 and is the co-creator of Cloud Data Protection Cert, the industry's first blueprint for making data protection "business-consumable".
Andrei Lapets
Dr. Andrei Lapets, currently Chief Science Officer and a co-founder at Nth Party, Ltd., was formerly Associate Professor of the Practice in Computer Science at Boston University, where he also served as Director of Research Development at the Hariri Institute for Computing and Director of the Software and Application Innovation Lab. In these capacities, he supported a broad community of researchers and external organizations as they envisioned and executed interdisciplinary computational and data-driven research efforts in areas such as digital health and bioinformatics, and was a collaborator in joint university-government initiatives. Dr. Lapets also served as PI and co-PI on multiple research efforts that were supported by sponsors such as NSF and IARPA and which involved the development, production deployment, and evaluation of secure multi-party computation solutions, with a particular focus on the usability and lightweight delivery of privacy-enhancing software applications. He has over a decade of industry experience consulting both large organizations engaged in federally sponsored research programs and small start-ups focused on bringing new technologies to market.
